Life Transitions

We help teens or adolescents struggling with life transitions like grade advancements, family changes, moving, starting a new school by:

• Giving them a safe place to emotionally process their feelings, frustrations and losses
• Facilitating family dialogue so parents can hear and validate their child's experience.
• Teaching them how to find new options or alternatives to thoughts that only generate negative feelings.
• Offering social skills--if needed--that would give them a sense of confidence to make new friends or orient to new environments.
