RHCC approaches therapy through the framework of Christs' mission and a biblical worldview*
Christs' Mission:The scriptures reveal His mission: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors. . ." (Luke 4:18 NLT).
Our mission: at RHCC is to follow our Lord's example. Paul the apostle tells the church to "Follow God's example in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins" Ephesians (5:1-2 NLT).
Biblical Worldview
In brief, a biblical worldview sees the world as created by God, broken by sin and redeemed by Jesus Christ. This redemption is already available to all peoples, but will not be complete until the return of Christ. For humans that means we have salvation and the incredible spiritual benefits that result from this salvation in a broken world. We experience this salvation in a broken world as broken people in need of God.
The effects of brokenness include:
* If you do not share Christian values or would not like to have "religious" content mentioned in therapy that is OK. We welcome all peoples and do not exclude treating anyone. If a therapist believes they are not able to provide a person with the best care for their situation they will offer referrals to professionals that can meet their needs. This reflects a therapist's abilities or limitations not discrimination of race, sex, religion or gender.
